Gionee Infinity G1 is a mid-range Android smartphone released late 2012. The phone runs Android OS, version 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, and for those asking, running your favorite apps like WhatsApp, 2go, Skype, etc, is no big deal for this phone, likewise most devices running Android version 2.3 and higher.

Gionee Infinity G1 looks smart and feels very solid when handling it even though the cover is made of 100% recyclable plastic material. The pictures taken by this phone looks sharp and can be compared with any 2012 flagship device out there (Apple iPhone 5, Samsung GS3, etc), the LED flash aids the camera to get bright pictures at night and at low light places.
However, despite the many features of the Gionee Infinity G1, one thing that makes it unpopular is the price. Yes, phones with such specs as Infinity made by Sammy and co., may be sold at around higher at around US 300-400 dollars, but the the Infinity G1 cost about 195 USD last time we checked — cheap, but not as cheap as consumers in the African and Asian markets may deem too comfortable, for this is where Gionee sell most of it’s phones. This is not to say that Gionee Infinity G1 is costly or anything, $195 is a befitting price for a phone with 4.3 inches Super AMOLED touchscreen display and 8MP camera though.
