WhatsApp will become one of the most secure applications

A study by the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) determined that WhatsApp is one of the most insecure world applications in terms of message privacy. Indicated that there did not meet the key parameters to ensure safety.

Given this, the application acquired by Facebook introduces encrypted "end-to-end" by default in the Android version. With this, the courier would become one of the safest apps, reversing the result of EFF.

As explained from various technological portals, unlike Facebook or Google Hangouts Messenger, WhatsApp can not read the conversations, ie, providers, they will not read the messages exchanged between users. Even the company can not decrypt the message while a court dictates, published the website 24 hours.

"End-to-end" consists of a code that only the people who keep the conversation can "fail". This method is used in other applications as Telegram.

WhatsApp will join the organization Open Whisper Systems, creators of the open source TextSecure to be used in this case.

"We are pleased to publicly announce a partnership with WhatsApp, application most popular messenger in the world to incorporate TextSecure protocol clients and provide encryption end to end users by default", has published Open Whisper Systems on his official blog.

They also stated that on this, users will not notice the difference because "it is a frictionless process."
